If Vanity Fades I’ve got something to believe in, an open heart torn from it’s place. Do you mind? A place called treason , you walk the land where your demons reign. I’ll drown into a world below with every step that you take. And every time you walk on my grave I know that I’m still awake. I know that it’s done, I know that it’s you No use fighting it again. There’s no setting sun No glory for you Only your pride pouring down the drain. I know now that this love will not sustain. There’s nothing like this feeling, holding my breath when I’m watching you bathe. Do you mind? Your knife cuts deeper into the warmth of her loving grace. I’ll die before I’ll let you go, I hope that you feel the same. And every tear that falls on my wounds, it hurts like hell, the fuckin’ fool that I’ve been. I know that it’s done, I know that it’s you No use fighting it again. There’s no setting sun No glory for you Only your pride pouring down the drain. I know now that this love sustains. I lay my head in your arms Your hands are touching my face I feel that something is wrong as you are looking away. There is something I’d like to say.

Little sister, why haven’t you called me tonight. My door was open, struck by pale blue eyes. Out in the distance someone’s staring to the sky And I’m waiting ‘till the poor guy lost his sight. Then I see your face coming by into existence where you leave a single trace to be found again, a road to happiness. Getting up, in the morning sun. Getting up, sailing out alone. Getting up, in the soft cool breeze Getting up, to the one I need. Seven days go by before I fall down into dismay. With a silent cry I put my feet down on my grave. Another week of nights where I just lay down broken and slain. No I won’t play this game. Sweetheart listen before your tears begin to fall, My doors still open and I’m waiting on your call. I know this distance is so hard for me to cross But I’ll bear this burden till the day that I get lost. Getting up, in the morning sun. Getting up, sailing out alone. Getting up, in the soft cool breeze Getting up, to the one I need. Seven days go by before I fall down into dismay. With a silent cry I put my feet down on my grave. Another week of nights where I just lay down broken and alone. In the dead of night I leave this ghost town, and like a ghost I’m dead and gone. Sailing out for the last time. A sinking ship in this ghost town. Stop me from coming home. Another ghost in this ghost town, slipping away.

Biting the serpents tail Out of control, I feel the chemicals roll over my swollen tongue. Hear the coyote howl as the sun goes down, the night has just begun. Shiny orange eyes above an eagle’s beak staring from the sky. Something crawling beneath my blistered feet, it’s shivering down my spine. Oh no I need it tonight, watch how I go blind And I know, this feelings not right, but these serpents never lie. Biting the serpents tail, as I’m flying away, I’m dying today. As I see it in the serpents eyes, watch me going down. Yeah I’m kneeling now. This feeling in my bones, it caught me like a child, in the shelter of giant on his side. Endless storms crossing the desert plain lifting me off my feet. As the storm collides, I feel the thrill inside, it’s taking control over me. Shedding this old skin, battered, broken and boiled, I leave it all behind. Breaking with this shallow world, where every concept of thought already died in my mind. I know, this feelings not right, but these serpents never lie. Biting the serpents tail, as I’m flying away, I’m dying today. As I see it in the serpents eyes, watch me going down. Yeah I’m kneeling now. This feeling in my bones, it caught me like a child, in the shelter of giant on his side. At its highest peak, the darkest secrets I keep are spilling out with rage. This shivering face, crying poison and blood, is bursting into flames As the ashes rise, the serpent’s spirit descents, my will put to sleep. And in the darkest holes, I curl up and roll, buried six feet deep. As I see it in the serpents eyes, watch me going down. Yeah I’m kneeling now. This feeling in my bones, it caught me like a child, in the shelter of giant on his side. It’s cyanide in my head, cyanide in my soul, I need it now.
